What ec2 class for instance?
Licensing model?
Deletion protection?
IAM DB authentication? (Do we want to use this?)
Monitoring level? basic/enhanced (enhanced monitoring requested by ADSD DBA staff)
What vpc for RDS instance?
What option group should be used?
What parameter group should be used?
Turn on log exports to CloudWatch? (should be default)
What encryption methodology to use?: EBS/KMS vs TDE. I think we use KMS so far but TDE is authorized
Storage type?
Storage size?
Enable storage autoscaling? This is an attribute of the DB
Backup/snapshot questions?
I want to redo event notifications. AWS has made this better and can now be defined for each instance.
