- aws porvider 6.x now
- karpenter 1.8.1
- terraform-aws-eks/karpenter - 21.6.1
- eks pod identity for karpenter works now. previously we were missing the vpc endpoint for eks-auth, preventing pod-identity from functioning
- karpenter now runs in kube-system namespace per best practices
- copy-images changes are temp as cannot pull new images into eecr until funding lapse ends
