| # Government Funding Lapse | ||
| Here are some collected details about how we are handling activities relating to the government funding lapse | ||
| on 2024-12-21. | ||
| ## Plan from Executive Staff | ||
| Planning Shutdown for Lapse Appropriation -- In the event there is a lapse in Federal funding - here is the current plan: | ||
| 1. All BCC systems will continue to operate - if something goes down/breaks, we will not restore | ||
| 1. Centurion will also continue to operate - if it goes down/breaks, we will not restore | ||
| 1. Survey areas will need to work to minimize/shut down things running in cloud - we may need to help them with this | ||
| 1. We will continue to collect logs and maintain Azure services that support the few staff who have been ID'd to assist with orderly shut down and to protect life and property should the lapse in funding prolong | ||
| 1. RDCs will shut down, Field operations will shut down, Federal travel will be canceled, Indicators scheduled for Tuesday (should the lapse still be in place) will not go out | ||
| 1. Banner pages are not yet final, but will go up Saturday at 7:00am | ||
| 1. If there is a lapse in appropriations, everyone is allowed up to 4 hours to perform shutdown activities on Monday. There are just a few people who will get letters from HR that have been ID'd to work longer than 4 hours to assist with orderly shutdown activities and even fewer people who will be around to protect life and property beyond the orderly shutdown. | ||
